Redskins Sign Seventh-Round Pick Ecker

The Redskins have signed rookie tight end Tyler Ecker, the team's seventh-round draft pick in last April's NFL Draft.

Ecker, the 216th player chosen in the draft, is the first Redskins draft pick to sign with the Redskins. The club also has to sign first-round pick LaRon Landry, fifth-round pick Dallas Sartz and sixth rounders H.B. Blades and Jordan Palmer.

Ecker, 6-6 and 248 pounds, played in 45 games with eight starts for the University of Michigan.
